Digestive Health Specialist
Kristin Houts MS, RD, LDN is a Registered Dietitian, who specializes in digestive health issues, modified diets due to food intolerance and overall wellness in children and adults. From her own personal experience living with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Kristin has a meaningful understanding of the issues her clients face as well as practical solutions for the often unpredictable situations that accompany life with a digestive disorder.
Kristin is highly skilled at designing individualized eating plans around dietary preferences and food sensitivities. She’s available to help with everything from meal planning to grocery shopping to food prep in order to help her clients develop simple, long-lasting habits. Through empathetic coaching, she helps clients navigate the food landscape while encouraging a lifestyle that supports symptom management.
Before pursuing a career in nutrition, Kristin worked as an editor and graphic designer. She received a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and later completed her Master of Science degree and dietetic internship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to starting with FEED Nutrition Consulting full-time, she worked as an intern assisting Lara with various tasks including recipe development, food photography, and nutrient analysis. In addition to working with FEED, Kristin’s internship rotations focused on pediatric nutrition at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Gourmet Gorilla.
