Homemade Applesauce

Simple and Tastes Great

Prep: 20 Min | Cook: 30 Min

Making your own applesauce lets you control the amount of sugar that goes into it. It’s simple to do and tastes great!

5 Medium Apples
1/4 cup Dark Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice

  1. Peel (if desired), core and cut the apples into chunks.
  2. Place them in a large, heavy pan with 1/4 cup dark brown sugar and 1 Tbsp lemon juice and bring to a boil.
  3. Cover, turn heat to low and simmer for about 30 minutes or until soft. Use an immersion blender if you want smoother applesauce, or leave it chunky.
