Adult and Family Nutrition Education
Kim Blum, MS, RD, LDN, is a registered dietitian with more than 20 years of experience in the field of nutrition. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Dietetics from Michigan State University and a Master’s of Science degree and dietetic internship in Clinical Nutrition from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois.
Kim previously worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, focusing her efforts on nutrition education in schools and ensuring that schools were meeting nutrition requirements. Following her work with the USDA, Kim worked for Action for Healthy Kids, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the epidemic of overweight, undernourished and sedentary youth by focusing on changes in schools. Kim then began to focus her efforts on working with restaurants to provide nutrition information for their menus, providing companies and organizations support on their nutrition-related needs, as well as educating families and individuals on maintaining healthier lifestyles.
Kim helps clients improve their relationship with and attitude towards food. She now focuses her work on various nutrition specialties including: nutrition for the whole family, adult weight management, eating disorders, corporate wellness, and menu development. Kim is married, the mom of two boys, and resides in the Northern suburbs of Chicago. In her free time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and logging miles on her Peloton.
