Quick Apple Crisp

Apple Delight

Try this gluten-free, fruit-filled crowd pleasing dessert!



For the Filling:
8-10 Large Granny Smith or Honey Crisp Apples, Cored and Thinly Sliced (unpeeled)
1/4 Cup Fresh Lemon Juice
1/4 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp All-Purpose Flour (or use GF Cup-For-Cup Alternative)
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon

For the Topping:
1 Cup Old-Fashioned Oats (for GF use Gluten-Free Harvest Oats)
1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1/3 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Chopped Pecans or Chopped Walnuts
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
3/4 tsp Sea Salt
1/2 Cup Melted Butter


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Toss together apples, lemon juice, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon until combined.  Spread mixture in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish and set aside.
  2. Stir together the oats, flour, brown sugar, nuts, cinnamon and salt until combined.  Then, add melted butter and toss together until the dry ingredients are wet. Do not over mix.
  3. Sprinkle the topping over the apples, and bake for about 45 minutes, or until topping is golden brown and crisp.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!
